πŸ•ŠοΈ Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti: Upholding Satya, Ahimsa & Swachhata at MVN

On the sacred occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October), commemorating the 157th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, alongside the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Maya Vidya Niketan family recommits itself to the eternal values of Truth, Non-Violence, and Selfless Service.

Mahatma Gandhi believed that education is the bedrock of societal transformation. Through his visionary concept of 'Nai Talim' (Basic Education), Bapu advocated the harmonious development of the 3 H's: the Head (Intellect), the Heart (Compassion & Ethics), and the Hands (Dignity of Labor & Practical Skills). At Maya Vidya Niketan, we strive to weave these fundamental principles into our classrooms, sports arenas, and daily campus life.

🌟 THE 4 PILLARS OF GANDHIAN VALUES FOR STUDENTS

1. βš–οΈ SATYA (Truth & Intellectual Honesty) "Truth is the sovereign principle, which includes numerous other principles." In school life, Satya means embracing intellectual curiosity, doing your own work with pride, and possessing the moral courage to speak the truth even when it feels difficult.

2. πŸ•ŠοΈ AHIMSA (Compassion, Empathy & Harmony) Ahimsa is far more than the absence of physical fightβ€”it is the practice of gentleness in words, empathy towards peers, zero tolerance for bullying, and treating every individual with equal dignity and kindness.

3. 🧹 SWACHHATA HI SEVA (Cleanliness of Mind & Campus) "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Bapu emphasized that self-reliance and environmental hygiene reflect inner purity. Today, our students renew their pledge for a clean, green, single-use-plastic-free campus and community.

4. πŸ› οΈ NAI TALIM (Hands-on Experiential Learning) True learning bridges theory and practice. Cultivating scientific inquiry, practical skills, and civic responsibility empowers our youth to solve real-world problems for Bihar and India.

🌾 REMEMBERING LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI: 'JAI JAWAN, JAI KISAN'

Today we also pay rich tributes to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose simplicity, high moral fortitude, and resilience guided India through critical times. His rallying cry 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' reminds our students to honor the brave soldiers guarding our frontiers and the farmers feeding our nation.

🎯 THE GANDHI JAYANTI STUDENT PLEDGE 2026

"I pledge to uphold Truth with courage, treat my peers and teachers with empathy and kindness, keep my surroundings spotlessly clean, and dedicate my education to the progress and upliftment of society."

Happy Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti to all our students, parents, and educators!
